Although some insect stings and bites are inevitable, they should not ruin outdoor activities during the summer if some safe and simple preventive and therapeutic measures are taken. In this article, Dr Holmes discusses these measures and examines the habits of some of the insects that attack humans, including the brown recluse spider, whose bite may cause a fatal reaction.
