Every year athletes and nonathletes alike are treated for eye injuries that could have been prevented. Unfortunately, some of these injuries result in complete and permanent vision loss. The good news is that primary care physicians can help preserve their patients' vision. Dr Farber discusses the activities most likely to result in eye injury and offers advice about protective eye wear that you can share with your patients.
