Diabetes affects a number of the body's systems and can cause serious damage. For example, the triad of peripheral neuropathy, infection, and peripheral vascular disease can lead to foot gangrene and eventual amputation. Dr Bell discusses causes of lower limb problems (primarily foot ulcers) and offers suggestions for prevention, specific treatment, and symptomatic relief.
