Why is it often overlooked in elderly patients?

You may think of several possible diagnoses when an elderly patient presents with dyspnea, angina, syncope, and dizziness, but hypertrophic cardiomyopathy probably would not be among them. The authors present a case for considering this diagnosis and discuss differentiation from the more commonly considered cardiac and cerebrovascular causes of these symptoms.
