Despite major advances in medical care of coronary artery disease that have reduced the death rate in men, the disease continues to kill women in increasing numbers. Drs Das and Banka examine gender-based differences in risks, attitudes, management, and preventive strategies that are contributing to or helping to ameliorate this situation.
