Hypertension in obese patients

Obesity and hypertension often go hand in hand, and the first step in controlling blood pressure is to help the patient lose weight. However, use of crash diets or appetite suppressants is not the way to go. Dr Kochar describes a sensible program for losing weight and explains why some antihypertensive drugs are more helpful than others in obese patients.
