Common gynecologic problems after age 75

Stress incontinence, atrophic changes of the vulva and vagina, and pelvic relaxation with uterine prolapse are the most common gynecologic problems in women 75 years of age and older. In their discussion of the management of these patients, the authors describe their compassionate and understanding approach to care of older women, which includes avoidance of the stress of surgery whenever possible.
