Symptoms of popliteal artery aneurysm may be nonexistent or transient, and a missed diagnosis can result in ischemic complications and limb amputation. In this article, Dr Seddon describes a case in which a patient presenting with “blue toes” was initially thought to have either a drug reaction or vasculitis. Dr Seddon also discusses important points in the evaluation and treatment of popliteal artery aneurysm.
