Abstract

Why does the government need to be involved in cost containment in the healthcare industry? Can't physicians improve efficiency and see more patients without federal rules, regulations, and limits? Dr Clanton shares some ideas about increasing efficiency in managed-care operations, describing ways that physicians and administrators can decrease the cost of healthcare delivery.
