SPECIAL FEATURE: EDUCATIONAL TECHNOLOGY IN ARABIC‐SPEAKING COUNTRIES

Progressive Technology in a Conservative Setting

Pages 26-30 | Received 01 Nov 1977, Published online: 09 Jul 2006

Abstract

Extending over two continents from the Arab Gulf in the east to the Atlantic Ocean in the west, the 22 Arabic‐speaking countries are now striving hard to catch up with the most recent findings in technology and its application to the educational process. Political, cultural, administrative and financial problems have caused some delay in the acceptance, adaptation and assimilation of educational technology in the Arab world.
