Pages 104-113 | Received 28 Jan 1978, Published online: 09 Jul 2006

Abstract

This article is a review of the current situation in computer‐managed learning in the United Kingdom. It is written by a practitioner from the practitioner's point of view. The major CML systems now extant in the UK are examined in turn and references are given to resource material available for further study of these systems. Some of the key issues and problems facing developers and users of CML are identified and analysed under the umbrella terms of testing, routing and record‐keeping. The article ends with a speculative look at the future of CML in the UK.
