Abstract

As the variety of resources available to trainees increases giving greater potential benefits to training effectiveness, so the complexity and cost of equipment increases. This paper gives the personal views of the authors who are committed to new technology, that the desire to keep pace with technology may well be to the detriment of training effectiveness if the basic tenets of educational techniques become subordinate to the entrancements of presentational techniques. The paper is based on a presentation given at the Industrial Society.
