PROLOG‐Based Computer‐Aided Learning Environments

Pages 102-107 | Published online: 09 Jul 2006

Abstract

Computer‐aided learning environments based on LOGO have been with us for some time now. Discovery learning, problem solving skills and investigative work can also be enhanced in PROLOG‐based environments, leading to greater learner autonomy and control. Such ‘intelligent’ interaction with ‘knowledge bases’ using expert system shells and application‐specific software is currently under research and development. This paper looks at some projects (covering various approaches) in the field, particularly in the areas of humanities and science teaching.
