Physical Education and the Reform of Undergraduate Education

Abstract

After suggesting that the current reform of undergraduate education is special, the author analyzes the relationship among general, liberal, and professional education. Definitions are offered, and the material realities for curricular choices are identified. Implications for physical education are presented throughout the analysis.
