Summary
The results of a taxonomical analysis of the hybrids between Paracheilognathus tabira from Japan and Rhodeus sericeus amarus from Europe are presented.
In their general appearance, both kinds of hybrid were intermediate with a tendency toward R. s. amarus. This tendency was stronger in the hybrid between R. s. amarus ♀ and P. tabira ♂ than in the reciproce.
Some aspects of the dominating influence of R. s. amarus in the hybrids are discussed.
