The ecology of Torulopsis in man

Abstract

A statistical study of the ecology of Torulopsis spp. in man showed that T. glabrata was the most important species. It occurred most often, it was particularly found in the genito-urinary tract and its pathogenic nature seemed certain. Aspects of other species of Torulopsis are discussed.

Résumé

Une étude statistique sur l'écologie des espèces du genre Torulopsis, chez l'homme, montre que parmi elles Torulopsis glabrata a une plus grande importance car: sa fréquence est grande et sa présence dans l'arbre urinaire et les voies génitales est très particulière et son rôle pathogène semble certain. D'autres liaisons peuvent être discutées pour d'autres espèces.
