The author is Consulting Pathologist and Director of Medical Services, Emeritus, Kern Medical Center, Bakersfield, California and Clinical Professor of Pathology, Emeritus, University of Southern California School of Medicine, Los Angeles. This narrative is based upon a presentation at the Sixth ISHAM Congress, Tokyo, Japan, July, 1975.
