Abstract
Minocycline has an additive anticryptococcal effect when combined with amphotericin B in vitro, and the combination lowers tissue counts of fungi. However, minocycline offers no survival benefit to amphotericin B therapy in murine cryptococosis.
Zusammenfassung
Minocyclin kombiniert mit Amphotericin B besitzt eine additive Hemmwirkung bei Cryptococcen in vitro. In vivo wird die Cryptococcenzahl im Gewebe durch die Kombination reduziert. Trotzdem bietet Minocyclin verglichen mit Amphotericin B Monotherapie bei experimenteller Cryptococcose keine Vorteile was die Lebensdauer betrifft.
