Abstract
The taxonomic status of each of the Golfingia (Nephasoma) species included in the abyssorum-section (Théel 1905) is reviewed. It is considered that Golfingia glacialis (Danielssen & Koren) and Golfingia anceps (Théel) are junior synonyms of Golfingia lilljeborgi (Danielssen & Koren), that Golfingia sabellariae (Théel) and Golfingia improvisa (Théel) are junior synonyms of Golfingia minuta (Keferstein), whilst Golfingia abyssorum (Koren & Danielssen) is a distinct species and Golfingia sarsi (Koren & Danielssen) is indeterminable.
