Comments are made on five other polychaete species previously known from Icelandic waters: Eulalia bilineata, Kefersteinia cirrata, Haplosyllis spongicola, Glycera rouxii, Eunice norvegica. The type material of Castalia aurantiaca and Exogone furcifera was studied and the species placed in synonymy with Kefersteinia cirrata and Exogone longicirris respectively.
