Abstract

Today's rapid increase in the world's population density and industrial activity raises public anxiety for imminent climate change. Predictions based on General Circulation Models of the ocean/atmosphere system play a key role in this debate. Lack of quantitative and qualitative data on the biogeochemical fluxes limits, however, the value of such models.
