In a controlled double-blind study the influence of carbenoxolone (Biogastrone u) on plasma corticosteroids was studied in 8 normal subjects. Plasma corticosteroids were determined with short intervals from 60 minutes before to 220 minutes after the administration of carbenoxolone or placebo. No influence of carbenoxolone on plasma corticosteroids could be demonstrated.
