Chronic Meningococcaemia

Abstract

Chronic meningococcaemia is a rare disorder. A patient was admitted to hospital with intermittent fever and arthralgia of a migratory nature for 1 week. Maculopapular lesions were present. His temperature was 38.5°C. Physical examination revealed a patient without any signs of severe illness. Blood cultures grew Neisseria meningitides.
