David C. Tomblin

DAVID C. TOMBLIN teaches biology and environmental science at Essex County High School in Tappahannock, Virginia. He is working on curriculum that addresses cultural differences in the reception and further development of Darwin's theory of evolution.

Michael L. Bentley

MICHAEL L. BENTLEY has worked in the field of science education for the past 29 years. He has been classroom teacher, science supervisor, museum educator, school principal, and researcher. Currently, he is an associate professor of science education at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University of Blacksburg, Virginia. His publications include Astronomy Smart, Jr. and Science Timelines: A Multicultural Resource. He is interested in K-12 science curriculum teaching and learning, environmental education, and informal science education.
