Dr. Meeks is Director, Social Work Department, Ontario Alcoholism and Drug Addiction Research Foundation and Assistant Professor, University of Toronto School of Social Work. This article is based upon a dissertation, “Race, Social Class, and Level of Aspiration,” submitted in partial fulfillment of the requirements for the degree of Doctor of Social Work, August, 1965.
