Four new species of the genus Botanophila Lioy (Diptera: Anthomyiidae) from China

Abstract

The paper includes keys to three species groups of the genus Botanophila, and the characteristics of each species group. It also provides the description of four new species, namely Botanophila longibarbata n. sp., Botanophila dianisenecio n. sp., Botanophila spinisternatodea n. sp. and Botanophila latispinisternata n. sp. The type specimens of the new species are deposited in the Institute of Entomology, Shenyang Normal University.

Résumé

Quatre nouvelles espèces du genre Botanophila Lioy (Diptera : Anthomyidae) de Chine. Cet article apporte des clefs de trois groupes d’espèces du genre Botanophila et les caractères de chacun de ces groupes. Il apporte aussi les description de quatre nouvelles espèces : Botanophila longibarbata n. sp., Botanophila dianisenecio n. sp., Botanophila spinisternatodea n. sp. et Botanophila latispinisternata n. sp. Les types de ces nouvelles espèces sont déposés à l’Institut d’Entomologie, Université Normale de Shenyang.
