Abstract

A striking case of sexual dimorphism revealed by the DNA barcodes in a Neotropical arctiid moth (Lepidoptera: Arctiidae). We report the discovery of the female of Senecauxia coraliae de Toulgoët, 1990, and we propose its formal description. Previously believed a member of different genera, this female is properly assigned after analysis of DNA barcodes, bringing to the fore a striking case of sexual dimorphism.
