Abstract
The far-ir and Raman spectra of the tittle compound have been obtained at room and liquid nitrogen temperature. The spectra are consistent with a halogen bridged species and the vibrational modes are assigned in relation to the structure of the dimeric anionic complex. A symmetry lower than D2h is proposed in agreement with preliminary X-ray diffraction results.
