Substituent Effects on the Amino Stretching Vibration Bond in 4'-Substituted 4-Nitrodiphenylamines

Abstract

I. r. spectral measurements were made to obtain the frequency (V_NH) and the integrated intensity (A) of the amino stretching vibration band of 4′-substituted 4-nitrodiphenylamines in dilute chloroform solution. The effects of substituents were examined and the maximum and minimum correlations were obtained for the V_NH and A values against the substituent constants ([sgrave]), respectively.
