Abstract

The Need for Speciation

The beneficial or deleterious effect of a metal on an industrial, environmental, physiological or other type of sample is usually well known and often significant. To the total concentration of the metal is assigned the degree of the noted effect. Consequently a common task of the analytical chemist is to determine the total concentration of that metal presented in the sample.
