Abstract

¹⁷O-NMR chemical shifts of several o-,m, and p-substituted benzoic phenylacetic acids and methyl benzoates are reported and discussed. The ¹⁷O chemical shifts are correlated with Hammett constant and ¹³C substituent chemical shift data.
