Kim Beauchesne
Kim Beauchesne is an associate professor in the Department of French, Hispanic, and Italian Studies at the University of British Columbia. Her areas of specialization are colonial Latin American literature and postcolonial theory, with an emphasis on transatlantic and transpacific studies. She has recently published a book entitled Visión periférica: marginalidad y colonialidad en las crónicas de América Latina (siglos XVI-XVII y XX-XXI) (Vervuert, 2013) and The Utopian Impulse in Latin America (Palgrave Macmillan, 2011) with Alessandra Santos, as well as many articles and book chapters in refereed venues.
