Abstract

Starting from (S)-aspartic acid, a versatile approach to (S)-l-benzyl-3-p-toluenesulfonylamino-2,5-pyrrolidinedione, (S)-l-benzyl-4-p-toluenesulfonylamino-2-pyrrolidinone and (S)-l-benzyl-3-p-toluenesulfonylaminopyrrolidine is described.
