Abstract

4-Chloro-2H-3-chromene carbaldehydes (2a-i) on reaction with ethyl-3-aminocrotonate 3 gives ethyl-2-methyl-5H-chromeno[3,4-c]pyridine- 1- carboxylates 4a-i in good yields.
