Abstract

A variety of aromatic compounds are nitrated to the parent nitro aromatic compounds under solvent‐free conditions using supported tetramethylammonium nitrate/silicasulfuric acid as a useful reagent. This methodology is useful for nitration of activated and deactivated aromatic rings.
