Abstract
A variety of allylic, benzylic, primary, and secondary saturated alcohols have been converted into the corresponding iodides using NaI supported on KSF clay. Selective conversion of allylic and benzylic alcohols in the presence of primary and secondary saturated alcohols has also been demonstrated.
