Selective Protection of Carbonyl Compounds as Azines and Their Facile Regeneration

Abstract

Carbonyl compounds with freshly prepared hydrazinium formate successfully yielded the corresponding azines in excellent yields. In turn, azines were deprotected to the corresponding carbonyls using triethylammonium chlorochromate chemoselectively.
