Direct Synthesis of Aromatic Nitriles from Aldehydes Using Hydroxylamine and Oxalyl Chloride

Abstract

Various aromatic and heterocyclic nitriles were prepared in good to high yields in a direct one‐pot process by heating the corresponding aldehydes with hydroxylamine and oxalyl chloride as reagents.
