Abstract

Synthesis of unsymmetrical allylic chlorides has been accomplished using cyanuric chloride in combination with DMF through ipso‐substitution and tele‐substitution by judicious choice of the substituents at appropriate positions of unsymmetrical allyl alcohols, taking care of their electronic and steric properties.
