Simple Catalyst-Free Regio- and Chemoselective Monobromination of Aromatics Using NBS in Polyethylene Glycol

Abstract

NBS in polyethylene glycol has been efficiently utilized for regio- and chemoselective bromination of activated aromatics at room temperature to form the corresponding bromo products in excellent yields.
