Novel Route to N-Acyl-N′-formyl Aminal

Abstract

Oxidative decarboxylation of N-acyl amino acids induced by Ag⁺/S₂O₈ ²⁻ in formamide afforded N-acyl-N′-formyl aminal in 52–74% yields.
