Abstract
3,4-Dihydropyrimidin-2(1H)-one and their derivatives were synthesized in good yields (90–99%) by a one-pot, three-component Biginelli cyclocondensation of dimedone, aldehydes, and urea in the presence of trimethylsilyl chloride (TMSCl) in dimethylformamide (DMF).
