1,4-Bis(triphenylphosphonium)-2-butene Peroxodisulfate: An Efficient Reagent for Synthesis of β-Nitrato Alcohols

Abstract

A simple and efficient method for the ring opening of epoxides to β-hydroxy nitrates has been achieved in the presence of ammonium nitrate and 1,4-bis(triphenylphosphonium)-2-butene peroxodisulfate.
