Abstract

An efficient method has been developed for the allylation of aldehydes with allytributylstannane in the presence of a catalytic amount of Mg(NTf2)2·xH2O at room temperature in water to afford the corresponding homoallylic alcohols in good yields.

Notes

a The reaction was performed with 1 mmol of benzaldehyde and 1.2 mmol of allytributylstannane in H2O (2 mL) at room temperature.

b Isolated yield.

a All the reactions were performed with 1 mol% of Mg(NTf2)2·xH2O in H2O at room temperature.

b Isolated yield.
