Abstract
A fast, efficient, and high-yielding method for the preparation of amines by reductive amination of aldehydes and ketones using sodium borohydride in the presence of Amberlyst 15 in tetrahydrofuran and under solvent-free conditions at room temperature is described.

Notes
a All reactions were carried out at room temperature, and the molar ratio of reagent–amine–carbonyl compound was 1:1:1.
b Method 1: reaction was carried out in THF with 0.1 g Amberlyst 15.
c Method 2: reaction was carried out under solvent-free conditions with 0.05 g Amberlyst 15.
d Yield refers to pure isolated product.
e Immediately.
