Cu/SiO2-Catalyzed One-Pot Synthesis of 12-Aryl-8,9,10,12-tetrahydrobenzo[α]xanthen-11-ones Under Solvent-Free Conditions

Abstract

An efficient and straightforward procedure for the synthesis of 12-aryl-8,9,10,12-tetrahydrobenzo[α]xanthen-11-ones has been achieved by three-component cyclocondensation of aldehyde, β-naphthol, and dimedone under solvent-free conditions.
