Abstract
The pyran scaffolds are present in many natural products, pharmaceutical and bioactive molecules. These valuable bioactivities have prompted synthetic chemists to develop novel, green and efficient catalytic systems for the synthesis of pyran scaffolds. Nowadays, magnetic nanocatalysts have opened up new chapters for generating numerous products with extremely high activity and selectivity, low energy consumption and long life time. The present review summarizes the application of magnetic nanomaterials as efficient magnetically recoverable nanocatalysts for the synthesis of diverse biologically relevant pyran scaffolds reported so far.
