Abstract

Ionic liquids (ILs) are a new class of materials that have received a great deal of attention in recent times. During the last decade, ionic liquids have been widely used as a catalyst for chemical reactions. The utilization of nanomaterials as support is an efficient strategy for the fabrication of novel, green and efficient catalysts in catalysis science, especially in organic synthesis. Recently, the catalytic application of ionic liquids (ILs) immobilized on the surface of nanomaterials in many chemical reactions was reported by various research teams. In this review, the activity of an attractive library of reported ionic liquids immobilized on nanomaterials was studied in a diverse range of chemical transformations.
