Abstract
Some cyclobutane carboxylic acids are prepared by the malonic ester synthesus1,2,3,4. Others have been prepared by the ene-amine synthesis5,6. The present work describes a simple cyclo-addition reaction that can produce some cyclobutanes that might not be available otherwise.
