Abstract

cis-Jasmone (I), a constituent of the Jasminum genus, and dihydrojasmone (II), which is present in bergamot oil, are important perfume ingredients. These compounds have focused continuous attention owing to their economic values and their being convenient testing targets for many new synthetic methodologies.
